Few hours to go :)

And here it is! The day has finally arrived :) We are leaving in few hours!
The excitement is now palpable and the euphoria is rising :) I just cannot stop smiling :)))

We hardly slept at all these few days (6 hours tot in the last few days), and judging from our schedule we will hardly sleep till tomorrow evening :D But I'm fully awake and running with energy :)

So, here's our last post before the big trip.

SUMUP:
- 2 Hiking backpacks:  45L and 55L, each 14kg
- 2 Daypack: 15L and 7,5L , each 4,5 kg
- 1 Camera pack

So...each of us 20kg and let's go!

Read more if you wish to see what we're taking with us and our schedule ;)

In all the backpacks we are carrying only the very basic goods: antibiotics and drugs, small shampoo bottles and detergents for clothes/dishes, minimal clothing, a raincoat, few shoes and that's it. Rather helpful were the compressed towel, which gave us a hanker chief in the size of coin - just add a few drops of water and puff! here's your face towel. Camping set of dishes and cutlery.

Miso soup, snacks, nuts and dried fruits, along with the grannies by the train it should be enough to feed us on the way. "Rakija" a local strong alcohol drink (over 45%) will be our medicine and protect us from harmful bacterias we are not used to. And on top of that it's my grandma's Rakija so it's a big thanks to them for watching over us through it :)

A Kindle with travel books definitely helps for the weight, plus we're adding another document with all the info of all the locations we are visiting. A small laptop to write this blog, skype and work ofc :D What would workaholics do without work :D

We are also taking souvenirs with us, for the locals - some Adriatic sponges and typical handmade goods. A little black book is our survival guide - we filled it with all the needed data, and each of us has one. A lighter, matches, flint, lamps and a compass :).

And ofc the most important item - TOILET PAPER with a hook to hang it around the neck :D

TOTAL:
  • 38 days
  • 4 countries
  • over 33 different places
  • more than 15.000 km

  1. Oh dear, it appears something untoward may have happened. You would have told us about the trip otherwise. Best wishes.

    1. I'm ashamed to admit that we were so busy that we just didn't manage to post anything.... Even the croatian version has only part of the trip included. Thank you for checking with us though :) It just gave me the kick to restart it again

But I'm making it my new year resolution to finish both blogs! :) So stay tuned!

      P.S.
To reward the following and your comment I will go and translate the first post immediately! :)
